| Don't cry for me argentina
But the truth is I only started doing xanga for the Parker's and it seems they don't live in Africa anymore. I know it breaks your heart to see me go, but I'll stop in from time to time to say my .02 cents at all the brilliance y'all post. Consider this my spring break from xanga-Chicago spring starts in May, in case you cared to know. |

| Let's keep talking about race
Set in the 60's in South Carolina, Lily 14 is a white girl who ran away from home with her African American care-taker. She ends up living with these 3 African American women who harvest honey. She has the hots for Zach an African American high schooler who helps her take care of bees. So far, the book has been very entertaining.
"The whole time we worked, I marveled at how mixed up people got when it came to love. I myself, for instance. It seemed like I was now thinking of Zach forty minutes out of every hour, Zach, who was an impossibility. That's what I told myself five hundred times: impossibility. I can tell you this much: the word is a great big log thrown on the fires of love." |
